Drawing and Graphic Improvements

  • Chapter
Flash 8 Essentials

Summary

It’s nice that after so many developer-centric features appeared in Flash MX 2004, Flash 8 is offering so many new and powerful tools to help developers, designers, and animators together. The new drawing improvements, both in the IDE and through ActionScript, enable a multitude of creative and extremely beneficial uses and are a welcome addition to the tool set. I have a feeling these improvements to strokes and gradient fills, not to mention the introduction of the Object Drawing model, are the sorts of improvements that, a year from now, we’ll all be wondering how on Earth we ever lived without!
