Summary
We have provided in this chapter information about the different types of J2EE application projects that can be created within JST. We described how each of the five available project types is used to manage a specific type of J2EE component. We will provide more in-depth discussion about each of these components in later chapters of this book.
The process of creating a Java Runtime Environment as well as a J2EE Runtime Environment were described in this chapter. These environments are essential to any J2EE project because the project requires the classes that exist within these environments. Finally, we discussed the contents of a J2EE folder that you might find when looking at your project directory.
