Summary
In this chapter, we looked at the process of creating user and group accounts within an Active Directory network. AD includes the Active Directory Users & Computers graphical utility to step you through creating one object at a time, or you can use command-line utilities and scripts to automate the process of creating multiple objects. We also talked about modifying the properties of user and group objects, including configuring logon scripts and other account attributes, as well as managing user profiles on an Active Directory network. In the next chapter, we’ll delve more deeply into the use of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to centrally manage users and computers in Active Directory.
