Spring JDBC Support

This chapter showed you how to use Spring to simplify JDBC programming. You learned how to connect to a database and perform selects, updates, deletes, and inserts. We also discussed primary key considerations and transaction support and hinted that there is another way to implement the data access layer of your application, through Object-Relational Mapping tools. We take a look at these tools in the next chapters.
