Abstract

One of the great privileges of academic life is the opportunity to work with students, both undergraduate and graduate, whose area of interest is in some way connected to your own. On the undergraduate level, advising usually includes choice and construction of a major field of study, guidance on graduate school and/or job options, writing recommendations, and, if the program requires one, help in writing a senior thesis.
