Abstract
The Annual Meeting of the AAR is held in late November in different cities around the continent (for example, Atlanta, Chicago, and Toronto). It has long been held in conjunction with the SBL Annual Meeting, though the organizations plan to hold separate meetings beginning in 2008. Upward of seven thousand members gather for a long weekend of seminars and lectures, book buying and job hunting, meetings, and social events. It is important to attend the Annual Meeting for the opportunity to catch up on scholarship in your field and to meet the people from around the world who are doing similar work.
