Abstract

The SBL Annual Meeting shares time and space with the AAR Annual Meeting (see AAR, Annual Meeting), though plans are for the groups to meet separately beginning in 2008. It provides an opportunity for SBL members to share their research through scholarly presentations and seminars, to identify new publications in their field of interest through the book display, and to build networks of colleagues and allies. The SBL Annual Meeting format is like that of the AAR—lectures, workshops, panels, plus receptions and other social events. Job interviews are part of the mix.
