Abstract

We report the soft x-ray Fourier transform holography using a high brilliance and highly coherent x-ray laser at 13.9nm. A Fresnel zone plate generates a point reference source and works as a beam splitter. The object is placed close to the first order focal spot and the transmitted zeroth order beam illuminates the object directly. A Fourier transform hologram is generated by the interference between the object wave at a large distance from the object and the spherical reference wave. The Fourier transform hologram of a grid pattern was successfully recorded with only one XRL pulse and an x-ray CCD camera and successfully numerically reconstructed. The spatial resolution is estimated to be about 1 μm.
