Integrated Management of Fruit Crops Nematodes

Part of the book series: Integrated Management of Plant Pests and Diseases ((IMPD,volume 4))

Abstract

Abstract The production of pistachio is reviewed, with data on main parasitic nematode, including rootknot and lesion nematodes. The distribution of pistachio nematodes and the management options available are listed, including agronomic management, use of resistant rootstocks, biological control with applications of the bacterium Pasteuria penetrans or the fungus Pochonia chlamydosporia, as well as soil solarization.
