Justification

  • Jarrett Leplin
Part of the Philosophical Studies Series book series (PSSP, volume 112)
I can now give a preliminary statement of my theory. The theory is in two parts:
  1. A.

A belief is epistemically justified if it is reliably produced or sustained and no incompatible belief is epistemically justified.

  2. B.

A person is epistemically justified in believing a proposition that he has good reason to believe is an epistemically justified belief.
