Abstract
Arc-discharge synthesis of single-walled carbon nanotubes was carried out using as catalyst only mixtures of 3d transition metals — Ni, Co, Fe, Mn, Cr and V. For two- and three-component catalytic systems the best yields of SWCNT was observed in the following row — 3Ni-Co-Mn > 4Ni-Mn > 3Ni-Co-Cr > 4Ni-Cr. At the highest SWCNT yields the average size of nanoparticles achieved 14 nm by results of X-ray diffraction.
