Abstract
This paper offers a brief overview of the maritime security authorities, international port, and trade and traffic structure, while illustrating the challenge of implementing the ISPS Code in Norway. It also outlines the minimum security standards for ISPS terminals, rapidly presents approved port facility plans and considers the challenges ahead.
