This commentary considers the issue and solution identified in the Lane et al. paper from the perspective of relevancy to the marine farming industry in Canada. More specifically, commentary is provided that questions whether or not the paper has raised an issue that is truly relevant to the industry, and whether or not the identified solution will support governance models that are relevant to the industry.
