Fostering collaborators’ ability to draw inferences from distributed information: a training approach

Abstract

We report a study designed to train collaborators in drawing inferences from distributed information. Results show that experience with a training task improved subsequent unsupported collaboration. The best performance was achieved with an adaptive inference tutoring tool.
