Abstract

This paper describes a measurement system for detecting the spatial distribution of vocal-fold vibration. In the proposed system, focused ultrasound pulses were transmitted in the same direction, and the distribution of the vocal-fold vibration could be obtained. Experimental results demonstrate that the vocal-fold vibration was in good agreement with the voice frequency. Furthermore, we succeeded in visualizing the spatial distribution of the vocal-fold vibration. Therefore, our proposed method has the potential to visualize the dynamics of the vocal fold.
