Abstract
A new type of combined resonance, named ‘merged resonance’ is observed for p-PbTe at high magnetic fields in the Faraday configuration (B//〈111〉). The resonance becomes allowed as a result of spin merging in heavy mass Landau levels 1α and 1β. Six band k·p models are employed to investigate the spin merging.
