Learning is concerned with ideas, their structure and the evidence for them. It is not simply the acquisition of correct responses, a verbal repertoire or a set of behaviors.
As “Joe” Redish (2003) writes “if we want to adopt the view that we want to teach as many as possible of our students then we must adopt a mix of approaches and be prepared that some of them will not work for some students”.
