Temperature and electric fields in composite materials are of interest in many applications. This chapter concerns the problem of calculation of these fields in a medium with an isolated inclusion. Fields in a homogeneous medium with an ellipsoidal inclusion, a thin inclusion, and a slander fiber are obtained and discussed. The methods for solving these problems are similar to those used in elasticity theory.
