In the NATO with disaster forecast and prevention purposes conventional and digital Geospatial Information (DGI) with various formats, types and scales is being used. Another factor is thematic data, especially belongs to past years. Even in the NATO, information availability, exchange and integration is a big deal. For the international environment, cooperation and coordination with International Organizations (IOs), Nongovernmental Organizations (NGOs) and local governments those problems become a real challenge. There are only a few industrial and international standards ruling those issues. Second perspective is information exchange and integration among thematic Functional Area Information Systems (FAS). Researches to develop interoperable Geospatial Information Application Software Systems (GIASS) are going on. Nowadays, according to lessons learned obtained from many international exercises and missions, standard procedures and new generation architectural alternatives for GIASS have been developed.
