The Effect of Total Pressure on Nucleation in a Laminar Flow Diffusion Chamber: n-Pentanol + Helium

Homogeneous nucleation rates of n-pentanol were measured in a laminar flow diffusion chamber (LFDC) using helium as carrier gas at total pressure ranging from 50 to 400 kPa. Total pressure was observed to decrease the nucleation rate at temperatures above 280K, but increase it at temperatures below 280K
