Water Supply in Emergency Situations

Following the attacks on America on September 11, a comprehensive review was carried out to examine London’s resilience and its ability to respond to, and recover from, a major or catastrophic attack. After the completion of the review it was discovered that while London had good tried and tested procedures for dealing with “conventional” – e.g. car bomb – terrorism, which it had been handling for many years, a step change in planning and response capabilities was needed to confront the threat that London faced post September 11.
