Abstract

Coupling effects between shaft-torsion and blade-bending vibrations in rotor-blade systems are studied. Certain features of the related eigen-analysis problem are underlined. Eigenanalyses are performed for multi-stage rotor-blade system examples. Eigen value-loci-veering phenomena are shown to occur, causing substantial departure of the eigen-characteristics from those obtained via an uncoupled analysis.
