This chapter presents the current national policies, practices, achievements and challenges concerning quality assurance in the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system in Romania. The analysis is focused on the main structure, conceptual and institutional quality-assurance mechanisms and concludes with a section that introduces a set of issues for further discussion. It starts with a description of the national policy context of the TVET system in Romania and an overview of the main developments over recent years.
