Part of the book series: Higher Education Dynamics ((HEDY,volume 15))

Abstract

The survey was undertaken some three to four years after graduation. This moment in time was chosen for various reasons. On the one hand, some time should have elapsed since graduation in order to include the transition to employment of those who had to go through special training periods prior to regular employment and observe the transition of those who faced substantial problems in finding employment and first career steps of those who rapidly found work. On the other, the time span between graduation and the administering of the survey should not be too long in order to provide feedback to higher education that is not completely out of date. Therefore, those who were addressed in the surveys had graduated three to somewhat more than four years before.
