Mössbauer Study of Ancient Albanian Ceramics

Ceramic finds from three different excavation sites in Albania (Belsh, Apollonia, and Durrës) were studied by Mössbauer spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. After identification and discussion of the mineral phases found in the sherds the results were used for a first attempt to reconstruct the ancient firing technique.
