Abstract
According to folk psychology, an inference is a mental process leading from the belief or total belief of (the propositions expressed by) the premises to the belief of (the proposition expressed by) a conclusion, s.t. the latter belief is being created. Call the former beliefs ‘premise beliefs’ and the latter belief the ‘conclusion belief’.
