Abstract
Young’s modulus, Poisson’s ratio are second order elastic constants. B/A parameter is second order nonlinearity parameter and the elastic constant measured in elasticity imaging is second order elastic constant. In this paper, we propose the imaging of third order elastic constant (TOE) which can provide higher sensitivity to the determination of the elastic property of the material. This imaging has applications to both nondestructive evaluation and medical imaging.
