The Ethical Perspective

Part of the Lifelong Learning Book Series book series (LLLB, volume 1)

The purpose of this chapter is to provide an overview of the tensional ethical perspective that informs the explanatory account of each of the fables. This perspective is responsive to the cultural context outlined in the previous chapter. It is also congruent with the antinomic nature of moral dilemmas, that being their defmitive ethical feature. The tensional ethical perspective, then, is seen as being particularly appropriate to illuminating and suggesting responses to the ethical dimensions of the trends exemplified in the fables.
