Abstract

Electron magnetic resonance (EMR) spectra, comprising FMR and EPR ones below and above the Curie point Tc, were recorded within the interval 100 ≤ T ≤ 420 K for nanosized powders of La1−x Sr x MnO3 (x = 0.16 and 0.3) with the mean particle size about 20–30 nm. These powders were produced by the ultrasonic irradiation (sonication-assisted coprecipitation). EMR spectra obtained demonstrate relatively low magnetocrystalline anisotropy and high magnetic homogeneity of the studied nanosized powders comparing to crushed single crystals of the same composition. Above data directly confirm that sonochemically prepared nanosized powders may be used as a testing systems for study of intrinsic properties of colossal magnetoresistive doped manganites.
