Recent Experimental Results on the Superconductor/Ferromagnet Proximity Effect

Abstract

Interaction of ferromagnetism and superconductivity in the superconductor/ferromagnet layered heterostructures is discussed on the basis of the own recent experimental results. These results are: (i) the observation of a re-entrant behavior of the superconducting state in Fe/V/Fe trilayers when plotting the superconducting transition temperature T c as a function of the Fe layer thickness; (ii) modification of the ferromagnetic state under the influence of superconductivity in epitaxial V/Pd 1−x Fe x bilayers.
