Abstract

For most efficient use, a cutting tool must be sharp. This is particularly true in the case of a plane, in the interest of accuracy, safety and ease of operation. It is, therefore, important that you be able to sharpen a chisel or plane properly, an operation you will often be called upon to perform after you have left school.
