Abstract

The chisel is one of the most important woodworking tools. The principal parts of a chisel are the handle and the blade. The latter is generally made of well-tempered tool steel. The blades vary in width from 1/8″ to 1″ in sixteenths, and from 1″ to 2″ in one quarter inch sizes. The blades range in length from 3″ to 8″.
