Abstract
The Saudi Imam, ‘Abd Allah ibn Saud, surrendered to Muhammad ‘Ali’s son, Ibrahim Pasha, some time during the first two weeks of September 1818. Captain G. F. Sadleir,1 who crossed Arabia less than a year later and discussed Arabian affairs with Ibrahim, says that after the Imam ‘Abd Allah had requested a parley.
