Abstract
The high pressure mercury vapour discharge plays an important part nowadays in lighting and also in certain irradiation applications such as in medicine and in blue-printing. For this reason we have thought it worthwhile to sun. up in this book the properties of the discharge, the types of lamps available and the various applications.
