Metabolic Compartmentation in the Brain: Summarizing Remarks

Abstract

The study of metabolic compartmentation has reached a stage when we have to survey the information hitherto obtained and plan for more productive future research by recruiting the combined intellectual effort of representatives of different disciplines of neurobiology. Instead of summarizing the whole proceedings of this symposium which would be a formidable task, we shall raise a few questions which, according to our prejudice, appear to be of special importance.
