Abstract

We will deal in this chapter with the possibility of using a parametric device for the amplification of signals whose spectrum extends from 0 to several hundreds of Hz. The type of parametric amplifier used for this purpose is based on the operating principles of four-frequency amplifiers for which the equivalent circuits, following the nomenclature adopted at the beginning of this book, are as shown in Figs. 12.1 and 12.2. In these types of converters the signal to be amplified enters at frequency f e (fe > f p ) and is received at the output at frequencies f+ = f p + f e and/or f = f p f e .
