Abstract
All methods of measurement of noise temperature involve a direct or comparative measurement of the output power of the amplifier energized either by a noise generator or by a resistance brought to a given temperature. In these conditions the output power of the amplifier is very low and in order to measure it we must use a post-amplifier preceded usually by a frequency changer (Fig. 10.1).
