Abstract

An amplifier having a voltage gain A without feedback has a fraction ß of its output voltage fed back in series with its input. Derive a general expression for the amplifier gain when the feedback loop is closed. Hence, or otherwise, describe the requirements for the maintenance of oscillations when the feedback is positive.
