Abstract

It would be possible to infer from the titles of these first two chapters that somehow people are separate from an organisation. This is not so, of course. An organisation is made up of people, and cannot be separated from them. However, once in an organisation, whatever kind it is, if we want to operate effectively we have constantly to take into account the personalities and positions of others.
