Abstract

I am delighted to have been asked to tell you a little about the work and progress of the International Year of Disabled People at the outset of this Symposium. It is well-nigh impossible to cover in a few minutes the range and variety of activity taking place in Scotland, but perhaps I can give you a few examples.
