Abstract
Founded in 1974 by Sir Keith Joseph and Baroness Margaret Thatcher to ‘convert the Tory Party’ to economic liberalism and promote the principles of a free society. An independent, nonprofit organization that promotes policies to limit the role of the state, to encourage enterprise and to enable the institutions of society to flourish. Policy areas include: economy; social policy/family; energy; public services; prisons and addiction; broadcasting.
