Abstract
This book contains the papers presented at a conference held under the auspices of the Money, Macro and Finance Research Group on 30 January 1999 at the London Business School, a date nearly thirty years from the start of the European Monetary System (EMS) and one month after the inauguration of Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) in Europe.
