Abstract

Discussions in the preceding chapters of this volume conceptually and empirically established close and critical linkages embracing the three themes: development, governance and the environment. While the focus is primarily on Bangladesh, the other countries of South Asia are considered in order to obtain a comparative picture, draw parallels, identify areas where deficiencies exist and further improvements are needed.
