Abstract
So far, we have raised some very basic questions concerning the nature of our understanding of management and organisations, and we have introduced a simple linear 15-step ‘model’ to separate out (for heuristic purposes) some of the key stages we may go through in establishing and managing our partnerships with clients. In addition, the Appendix explores in some depth a specific management and organisation development intervention. As we progress through the book, we shall revisit some of the more challenging questions, using Tech-Test (the organisation described in the Appendix) and other cases to illustrate what we believe we have learnt.
