Biopsychology and physical interventions
- 158 Downloads
This is the perspective that helps us to understand behaviour and mental experience by examining what is happening physiologically in the body, particularly in the brain and nervous system. This approach has several different names, each of which links biology and psychology, such as biopsychology, psychobiology, neuropsychology, psychophysiology and ‘the biological basis of behaviour’. This combination may be further linked with social psychology to give the biosocial and biopsychosocial approaches often referred to in health-care contexts.
