Abstract

Attitudes are settled or fixed ways of responding to people and objects in the environment. They involve what people know or believe and what they feel, as well as what they say and do. Attitudes can be stuck in a rut or can change in response to new experiences or persuasion. Psychological study is concerned with how attitudes are expressed and how they develop and change throughout the lifespan.
