Abstract

In this book I have tried to give some substance to the idea that values are too complex to manage directly. The question we are left with is: what should managers do about it? One option is unacceptable — to give up. We couldn’t do this even if we wanted to — everyone is managing other people’s values every time they make just about any kind of comment.
