Prayers to Broken Stones: War and Death in Australia

  • Phillip D’Alton

A sandstone column perhaps three metres high, set in a small courtyard and screened from the road by the shrubs and trees that have grown up since the last ‘greening of the suburb’ took hold. Marble paving and marble covering the low plinth upon which the column is set and, at waist height, a series of basins on each of its four sides.
