Abstract

Now that we have identified the party groups, given an account of how they work and examined the kind of party activity that is called for by the powers of the EP, we can meaningfully evaluate the performance of the party groups in the EP. In order to do this, we will, first, test the cohesion of the individual party groups and, second, examine whether they collectively constitute a coherent and stable party system.
