Abstract

One-third of the world’s population currently seems to be moving away from centrally-planned socialism towards some form of a market economy. Suppose we refer to the broad process of making a transition from some form of socialism to some form of capitalism as a process of transformation. It appears that there are essentially two different models of transformation.
